    Pre-Nursery

Here the child is made to feel secure, happy and be part of the extended family. They will experience:

    • Educational toys to stimulate learning
    • Simplified learning and appreciation

    Focus

Children begin to be aware of the world beyond themselves and want to understand the ‘why’ of everything. When our youngest students step in for the first time they enter a world where numbers come to life, words take shape, and their imagination is encouraged to be expressed. We motivate children to learn while recognizing that each child develops at an individual rate. As teachers, we watch closely and listen to them. The moment we see that a child is ready for more, we encourage them to take the next step in their learning.

This program has a focused agenda which includes instruction, geared towards the development of self, interpersonal skills, pre-reading skills, pre-writing skills, gross and fine motor skills. Rhymes and circle time facilitate their language acquisition and help with speech development.

Through worksheets and activities, we have created from years of experience working with this age group, they develop interest in reading through picture books and practice pre-writing skills by scribbling and coloring.

Following directions, expanding speech and vocabulary, expressing imagination, and learning through play are critical components learnt in their successful learning journey.

We encourage them to understand nature study concepts such as day and night, water, air, plant and animals by observing, questioning, exploring and comparing. They Learn the essential hygiene skills of washing hands, cleanliness of self and surrounding and healthy eating by story-telling and discussion.

Role play activities introduce concepts like identifying emotions, basic directional skills, focus on teaching self-awareness and fostering independence by helping your child master their self-help skills. They are encouraged to develop their curiosity about the world around them and to make observational learning.
